We handcraft our leashes with biothane, brass hardware and double capped rivets, using the same materials and tools we use for the straps on our sheaths!  Biothane is a PVC coated nylon that is durable, waterproof, will not smell and is super easy to clean with soap and water.  It is very strong, field tested by our german shepherds and blue heelers, and regularly used to make horse reins as well!
 
Our trainer leashes are perfect for overly excited young pups, trips to the vet or even just in between car rides. 9 month old Ranger in the pictures was much more manageable on the shorter leash and even behaved better feeling close and secure.  We occasionally used the shorter leash with our senior GSD Patton for vet visits or shorter trips just to keep a hand on him in case he's feeling extra friendly!
 
We now offer Traffic Leashes as well at 15 inches so you can keep them even closer!  We recommend these for larger dogs that may still need some training, but if you are taller and have a small dog we recommend sticking with the longer Trainer Leash at 20 inches.
